On 29 December, 2012 the Israel Society of Medical Mycology will organize a meeting in Tel Aviv, Israel. Information is available here.

On 25 April 2014, Dr. Amir Seyedmousavi defended his Thesis on treatment strategies of azole-resistant Aspergillus at the Radboud University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands. The book is freely accessible in the member area of the ISHAM website.

Last October a meeting “100 Years of Chromoblastomycosis” was organized in Sao Luis, Brazil. A short report of this workshop can be found here. One of the outcomes of this meeting was a plan for the analysis of global distribution and burden of disease for main agents of chromoblastomycosis. We need your cooperation for this; a detailed message will follow in due course.

The conveners of the Chromoblastomycosis working group are now Daniel Wagner (Brazil), Alexandro Bonifaz (Mexico) and Peiying Feng (China). We thank our previous conveners Flavio Queiroz Telles, Roxana Vitale and Liyan Xi for their efforts over the years.

The Second International Conference on Basic and Applied Mycology will be held in Assiut, Egypt, 14-15 March, 2015. You may find information here. The meeting will be followed by the 18th Workshop on "Yeast fungi: Biodiversity and their Role in Biotechnology and in Human, Animal and Plant Diseases”, during 16-18 March, 2015. The 12th International Meeting on Paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM2014) was held in Brasilia, Brazil, 21-24 September, 2014 and was with 240 participants very successful. A short report can be found here.

The CBS Symposium, to be organized in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 22-24 April, 2015, is focused around the Second International Workshop on Ascomycete Systematics.
