The Young ISHAM program starts at a pre-congress activity on 4 May, 2015 and includes a YISHAM party at the Gasolina. Information can be found here.

Members are invited to nominate candidates for the ISHAM Young Investigator Awards – one in Clinical Mycology and one in Basic Mycology. The prizes will be awarded to those scientists who are under 40 years of age, have clearly made their mark in the field and show exceptional promise for the future.  Nominations should be submitted to the General Secretary p.donnelly@usa.net by 14th February 2015.

ISHAM's Mycology Study Group (MSG) has initiated an interactive, web-based activity for Clinical Decision Making in Mycology, to address key decision points in the management of IFIs for patients with cancer in the ICU as well as for patients with hematologic malignancy. The Iranian Society of Medical Mycology (ISMM) and Invasive Fungi Research Center (IFRC) have launched a new open access journal: Advances in Medical Mycology. The first issue can be found here.

The British Society for Medical Mycology organizes a course in Diagnostic Medical Mycology in Leeds, U.K., 13-17 April, 2015, aimed mainly at biomedical scientists and medical microbiologists. For information, click here.

A Specialization Course in Medical Mycology will be held in Leuven, Belgium, 7-17 September, 2015. The course aims at medical microbiologists and scientists who want to develop their knowledge of medical mycology. Full information can be found here.

The ISHAM Working Group on Dermatophytes has a new convener team existing of Michael Arampatsis , Yvonne Graeser and Vit Hubka . A workshop is planned in April 2016; information will follow in due course.

The second International Veterinary Mycology Course under the umbrella of ISHAM will be held in Turin, Italy, 26-30 October, 2015. Full information can be found here.
