ISHAM NEWS! (02-03-2016)
Dear , A workshop on hospital infections is organized in Essen,
Germany, 29-30 April, 2016. More information. |
ISHAM
welcomes a new Working Group on Aspergillus Resistance Surveillance.
This working group is coordinated by Paul Verweij, Katrien Lagrou, Anuradha
Chowdhary and Shaun Lockhart. Given the global dimensions of azole resistance
in Aspergillus fumigatus and recommendations for resistance surveillance by
governmental organizations, we aim to set up a network of centers that collect
azole resistance data in Aspergillus systematically and using a standardized
protocol. Centers that are interested to participate in this network can send
an e-mail to paul.verweij@radboudumc.nl. |
A Curator position is available at the Leibniz-Institut DSMZ-Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen
und Zellkulturen GmbH, Braunschweig, Germany. Click here for

in environmental mycology and human fungal diseases and will address all
aspects of azole resistance selection in A. fumigatus, including adaptation
strategies in Aspergillus, the role of its reproduction mode, resistance
mutations and compensatory evolution and fitness. Furthermore, the epidemiology
of azole resistance and dynamics related to migration of resistance will be
discussed as well as the clinical implications. More information
