A recent issue of Studies in Mycology is devoted to phylogeny basidiomycetous yeasts among which are numerous human pathogens. The paper is open access.

An exceptional fungal exhibiting has been opened in Utrecht, The Netherlands. An international group of artists and designers have used fungal mycelia for innovative materials to make chairs, clothes, and furniture, see here. This could be an occasion to taste the country for your next visit, at the 20st ISHAM Congress in Amsterdam, 30 June - 4 July, 2018.

There will be two dermatophyte meetings at CBS, Utrecht, The Netherlands:

A CME activity with explanation of new taxonomy and with microscopy is organized on 28 October, 2016. A fee of € 50 will be charged; for registration, click here.

A scientific workshop of the ISHAM Working Group Dermatophytes to discuss latest achievements will take place on 29 and 30 October, 2016. No fee is charged, but registration is compulsory, click here.
