It is is with great sadness to inform you about the death of Dr Ira Salkin, who died after long illness on March 2 in Albany, New York. Ira was a leading medical mycologist who dedicated his life to all aspects of medial mycology and as editor in chief of Medical Mycology guided ISHAM’s journal over many years. Ira mentored many of us and will be missed greatly by all of us.

His funeral will be on Monday, March 7th at Levine Chapel in Albany, New York.

Our thoughts are with his wife Kay and his family.
