We thought it was most appropriate to initiate this series with Carlyn Halde, who donated a Fund to ISHAM to allow deprived mycologists to become
sponsored member of our society. Further material for this web area may be sent

The 46th British Society for Medical Mycology (BSMM) meeting will be held April
18-20, 2010 in Exeter, U.K. Topics covered include fungal cell wall,
morphogenesis, pathogenicity, host-pathogen interactions and clinical mycology.

The Scientific Institute for Public Health, Department Mycology &

As a part of the annual meeting of the ISHAM working group Mycology Study Group
(MSG) in Philadelphia, U.S.A., April 7 and 8, a CME program will be conducted
on April 7 which will include a number of innovative presentations pertaining
to clinical and diagnostic mycology. For information, see under the MSG working
group area.
We announce the “BIOBASE Knowledge Library (BKL) - YEAST Edition”, a fully
manually curated database which provides comprehensive information on proteomes
of S. cerevisiae, S. pombe, and 18 other human fungal pathogens including C.
albicans. BKL-Yeast, is the collection of the following databases: YPD
(S. cerevisiae), PombePD (S. pombe), MycoPathPD, TRANSFAC®-Yeast (gene
regulation events related to yeast), click here.

An Interdisciplinary Forum on Superficial Infections will be organized as an
element of a series of workshops by the study group Eukaryotic Pathogens from
the German Society for Hygiene and Microbiology, in collaboration with the
German Society for Mycology. The meeting will take place in Jena, Germany,
