As a reminder we inform that the 6th Trends in Medical Mycology will be organized in Copenhagen, Denmark, 11 - 14 October, 2013. The scientific programme is complete and can be found at www.timm2013.org.

The next meeting on Comparative Genomics of Eukaryotic Microorganisms, entitled 'Complexity Patterns in Eukaryotic Genomesis' will take place in Sant Feliu de Guixols, Spain, 19 – 24 October, 2013. For general information, click here.

The LIFE educational website has just issued its second newsletter. The burden of fungal infections in Guatemala (with its high rate of disseminated histoplasmosis in AIDS) is being presented at ICAAC. Numerous news items of interest including the link with fluconazole in pregnancy with tetralogy of Fallot, the withdrawal of ketoconazole and the possibilities for point of care testing – see

The next Annual meeting of the Belgian Society of Human and Animal Mycology will take place on 14 November 2013 in Ophain (Espace Delgoutte), Belgium. All information is available on the website of the society www.medmycol.be.

The 6th Advances Against Aspergillosis Conference will take place in Madrid, Spain, 27 feb - 1 March, 2014. A Special Conference Registration and Hotel Package is offered which not only gives you a reduction on the stand alone registration fee but also allows you to book into the conference hotel at a reduced rate. The programme is almost complete and registration, scholarship applications and abstract submissions are all now open.

The CBS Course in Medical Mycology will be held in English and Chinese in Guangzhou, China, 18-29 November, 2013. For information, program (in two languages) and registration, check out here.

The 24th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases will be held in Barcelona, Spain, 10 – 13 May, 2014. For full information, click here.
