Overview

Objective of the working group:

To establish a worldwide network to cover different topics concerning chromoblastomycosis, and to involve the local physicians with the possibility to interchange data, materials and advance international cooperation and communication.

Achievements

1. The working group held a successful session at ISHAM 2015 in Melbourne. There was an open and active discussion among participants focusing on updates in research on black fungi and relatives.

2. A joint meeting between the Black yeasts and Chromoblastomycosis ISHAM groups was organised from the  15-17 September, 2016, in Viterbo, Italy. A report can be found on the Black Yeasts Working group website here

3. The 2017 joint Black yeasts and Chromoblastomycosis ISHAM workshop took place in Havana, Cuba in December 2017. A report and photo from the meeting are available.
