Sad to say but Professor Claudio Viscoli passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday 3rd May 2020 in his home town of Genoa, Italy.
He was a giant in the field of infectious diseases in general and in Medical Mycology in particular having played a key role in the Infectious Diseases Group of the EORTC IDG, the Immunocompromised Host Society and the European Society of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases for 3 decades.
He will be sorely missed for his intellect and honesty by friends and colleagues. ISHAM sends its condolences to his family and friends on behalf of the Society. May he rest in peace.
